hair extensions?

Read our guide about how to keep your extensions in the best
condition possible, both before and after fitting.

Tape in hair extensions pre appointment and aftercare

If you're thinking about getting tape-in hair extensions, we can help you choose your correct shade/s and amount of packs recommended after you've sent us some photographs of your hair.

Once you've ordered and whilst you're waiting for your hair to arrive we highly recommend booking a consultation with your chosen hair professional. This way, you can discuss everything from the application and placement of the tapes to the proper aftercare instructions. Once they've arrived, you can take the hair with you and your hair professional can advise you. If you'd prefer to wait to order after your consultation then we'd recommend opting for a Foxy Locks approved professional.

Having a thorough consultation is key to ensuring that these extensions fit in seamlessly with your lifestyle and routine.

During your consultation, be sure to ask about the correct aftercare for your extensions. Taking good care of them is essential to keeping your natural hair and extensions in great condition and increasing their longevity. By the end of your appointment, you should feel confident and informed about what to expect from your new extensions. We will also supply our guide to looking after your new extensions.

We want you to have the best experience possible, which is why we only advise having your Foxy Locks tape-in extensions fitted by experienced professionals. If you have any concerns or issues with your extensions, your hair extensionist is your first point of contact for advice and further consultation.

Before your fitting appointment, make sure to shampoo your natural hair twice with a clarifying shampoo (without any conditioner), dry it completely, and straighten it. It's important to have clean, dry, and straight hair without any products, as this will help ensure the longevity of your extensions. If your hair isn't properly prepared, you might find that the tapes slip out more easily.

Don't forget, you shouldn't wash your hair for at least 12 hours after fitting to help the tapes adhere.

We hope these tips help you feel more confident about getting tape-in hair extensions! If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to your hair professional or to us directly. We want you to feel beautiful and confident with your new extensions, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
